Children’s Neurology Services was bitten by the fundraising bug this spring! Our office loves to help out great charities that benefit children with special needs, a cause close to all of our hearts. Last year we colored for Autism and raised $5,000! This year we laced up our sneakers and walked for Autism Speaks!
Children’s Neurology Services formed a team for the Autism Speaks Greater Hartford Walk and set a team goal of $1,000. In less than two weeks we were half way to our goal, in just a month we had surpassed our goal! Our team held various fundraisers that were fun and successful. The office sold cupcakes (which everyone loved because they were just so yummy!), the team held a carwash, we sold handmade Autism awareness bracelets (by Dr. Kleiman, Mairin Dupuis the team leader, and Andra Jaffee), and all team members raised individual amounts as well towards the team goal. We had also set a goal of 10 walkers for the team, WE HAD 20!
By walk day, the team had reached an astonishing amount of $2,600 raised!
We surpassed our goal and were able to make an amazing contribution to this worthy cause.
Here at CNS we love helping our patients and our community. We are currently searching for our next project to help out children and individuals with special needs who have touched our hearts. We’re always open to ideas and suggestions from our patients, families, and surrounding community! Check back in to see what our next project is, maybe you would like to come join us!
